Farhan and his family belong to a Palestinian Bedouin community. With their herds, they live in the rolling hills of the West Bank desert.

Getting to their camp is not easy. From Tel Aviv airport, it's a two-hour drive through the southern desert, passing an Israeli checkpoint on the way to the last Ma'ale Amos settlement. Then you pass a military training camp and a disused building which is occasionally used as a venue for Israeli youth raves. After this, the road becomes a long dirt track that can only be travelled in a 4X4.

For Farhan and his family, the challenge is to continue living there, on the edge of the country, in this desert that is closing in on them.
