Olivier, a resident of the Southern Alps (France), is trying to trace the thousands of workers who built the railway from Nice to Digne-les-Bains. His quest meets the daily struggle of railway workers and users against the abandonment of this mountain line, doomed to disappear.

Born in 1991, Félix Besson is a graduate of the DEMC Master's program at the University of Paris, and lives and works in Le Mans. As a mountain filmmaker, he examines the geographical and political realities of alpine environments and mountain frontiers. As a cinematographer, he also works with creative documentary filmmakers. He regularly collaborates with the Cité du Film in Le Mans.
